Short-form content has cooked me
To be honest, I’m not sure what makes me laugh anymore. I’ve been consuming so much short-form content that I feel like I’ve lost the meaning of what what truly m akes me laugh . I have relied on what’s trending on social media for so long now, it has complete control over what makes me laugh. This short form content hasn’t just been from the Tiktok and Instagram era. It started back when I was in elementary school. Back then, it was those Vine videos and “try not to laugh” challenges. Those moments of instant dopamine release where fun, but now, it feels like that constant quick humor has overpowered my authentic feelings for humor. Obviously, I still have good hearty laughs with my friends and family, but besides that, there isn’t one specific thing that will always make me laugh.
